University of Plantation
What is University of Plantation?
University of Plantation is a new endeavor created to help Plantation residents learn about the inner workings of our city. Attendees will meet the city’s elected officials and can question the city’s administration and departmental staff. The ultimate goal is to provide our residents with information and tools that they can share with their friends and neighbors and help the city distribute accurate information on important topics. Plus, it will be fun!
Each semester consists of seven classes, held monthly 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Outreach Center in Broward Mall. Those curious about our city are urged to sign up for what will be about an hour of our presentations followed by 30 minutes of questions. We will award a graduation certificate to anyone who attends at least 5 classes. The graduation recognition takes place at the City Council meeting at City Hall.
