Urgent Updates
Hurricane Milton has passed across the state without any major impacts to Plantation. Watches and warnings have been lifted. However, we are still under a wind advisory until 4 p.m. today, so watch out for wind gusts while driving and beware of unsecured objects, such as tree limbs.
City operations resume tomorrow
The City of Plantation will resume its normal operations tomorrow, Friday, October 11. City offices, parks, facilities, meetings and programs will reopen and operate the regularly scheduled hours.
Trash pickup
Waste Management resumed solid waste pickup this morning. They intend to complete the routes that were missed yesterday along with the regularly scheduled routes today.
Due to the wind advisory, if your bulk, yard waste, trash and recycling pickup is scheduled Friday or Saturday, we ask that you continue to wait to put it out until right before the pickup.

Public schools
Broward County public schools will be open tomorrow. This includes all evening activities, classes, and before-and-after care services.
