Welcome! We are The City of Plantation’s Parks & Recreation Department. Our department operates the City’s recreation programs, community events and maintains all of the City’s parks and facilities. Whether you’re interested in enrolling your child in one of our many programs, visiting one of our 42 parks, renting a facility or pavilion, taking a swim at our aquatic complex, riding at our equestrian center or playing a game of tennis at the Veltri Racquet Center, you are sure to find that Plantation has it all.

Dogs in Parks Ordinance - Effective August 1, 2024
Leashed dogs are now allowed at certain passive Plantation parks starting August 1st! In order to bring your pooch to one of the designated parks, your dog must be leashed, dog waste must be scooped (bring your own bag), and all dogs must wear their county license tag. Click on the map above to view which parks you can and cannot bring your dog to.
Dogs are not allowed in active parks or in a park adjacent to a community center as listed below:

- Pine Island Park
- Pop Travers Park
- Sunset Park
- Volunteer Park
- Plantation Community Center
- Jim Ward Community Center
- Deicke Auditorium
