Payroll
Welcome to the City of Plantation Payroll page, led by the Payroll Manager Adriana Vargas.
The Division of Payroll provides consistent on-time processing and delivery of payroll services to more than 1000 workers. We are responsible for guiding the continued development and innovative enhancement of the Payroll Management System and related sub-systems, distributing employee pay, maintaining payroll bank accounts, coordinating payroll related matters among central and line agencies and between the City and external organizations (such as the Internal Revenue Service), developing and disseminating uniform payroll procedures, and maintaining the integrity and accuracy of the City's payroll.
My Pay
The City of Plantation core hours for full-time employees are Monday – Friday from 8:00am until 4:30pm for a total of 40 hours per week unless otherwise indicated. All employees are paid on a biweekly basis. The payroll covers a period of 14 days, which begin on a Sunday and end on a Saturday. The City's biweekly payroll is also calculated in the same manner. You can refer to the Holiday and Pay Schedule to obtain a better understanding.

Pay Check
All employees are required to set up an online account with Greenshades in order to view their biweekly pay check.
Calculating Gross Pay
To calculate the hourly rate, take your current annual salary and divide by 2080 hours.
Ex: $50,000.00 annual/by 2080 hours = $24.0385 hourly rate
To calculate your Annual salary, take your current hourly rate and multiply by 2080 hours.
Ex: $24.0385 hourly rate X 2080 hours = $50,000.00
