Our goal is to deliver exceptional customer service while assisting our employees in obtaining the information they will need to make informed decisions about their retirement and pension needs. The City offers three pension plans, Police (that serves sworn members of the police), General Employee pension (that serves all other general employees) and Voluntary Firefighter pension (that serves the City’s Volunteer Firefighters employees).
All Full-time permanent employees of the City of Plantation are eligible and part of either the General or Police Pension plans. All Volunteer firefighters are part of the Volunteer Firefighters Pension Plan.
