ULI/Plantation Gateway Leadership Project

uliAs one of its 2022 projects, the Urban Land Institute (ULI) Leadership Institute is looking at the Plantation Gateway/Plantation General Hospital area in order to assess challenges in the area, and maximize the potential of the campus. A site visit was conducted on February 5, 2022 with local officials and ULI representatives.  Findings were presented to the Community Redevelopment Agency Board on  August 10, 2022.

The ULI Leadership Institute serves to educate and inspire land use, planning, and real estate leaders, and provide them with the tools to solve South Florida’s most critical real estate and land use issues. The culminating exercise for the Institute is a series of Leadership Projects, where participants work over a seven-month period to address a particular local land use challenge. Past project clients include Fort Lauderdale Downtown Development Authority, City of West Palm Beach, Habitat of Humanity Broward, Miami-Dade County Parks, and FAT Village.  Submitted projects are presented to the ULI Board and selected based upon their merit and potential regional impact.
